PC Grand Finals Preview

The PC Grand Finals (Former PTC GF) starts next
Tuesday (25)

Ding Junhui, the defending champion

The tournament isn't named as PTC Grand Finals anymore because the PTC Events was removed from the tour last year, and the Asian Tour joined the European Tour.
The European Tour qualified 24 players, and the Asian Tour completed the list with 8 players.

The tournament was going to be placed in Thailand, but Political unrest made the World Snooker moves it to UK to make sure of the security of the players.
It was a big mistake from World Snooker (Barry Hearn), because when you will choose a place for an event, you need to make sure that the country will receive the tournament well.
It will be also a big injury for world snooker, because there was investments with arena, and they surely had a sponsor for the event in Thailand, and some tickets was already sold out.

Anyway, they needed a ready arena for the event, and a country where they would sell the tickets in the short time they had to it, to avoid more injuries. Germany and China was some options too, but Preston, in England, was the choice.
Like always when world snooker don't have a sponsor for any event, wyldecrest will be the sponsor.

This guy would be favorite playing left-handed

I will not try to preview a champion or semi-finalists, anyway there's no doubt that Ronnie O`Sullivan is favorite, but all the players is starting to prepare themselves for the world snooker championship and it's is also a best-of-7 frames' tournament and there is a chance for surprises.
I believed that Ju Reti would win some matches, but he got a very tight draw.
Talking about Ronnie O`Sullivan, he will have a very tough met with Scott Donaldson in the first round, and could meet Neil, Selby, Trump and Shaun before the final, which would be another O`Sullivan-Junhui

The question is: Can someone beat Ronnie?

The tournament will have Eurosport coverage and you can always follow all the results and news from the event at Ronnie O`Sullivan Brasil on Facebook.
