Perry leads the World Champion after 8 frames
as Michael Wasley catch his 5th match win at this year
world championship with a 10-9 victory over Ding Junhui

Ronnie started the match very poor in the long game, and was more aggressive, then left many chances to his opponent, who scored very well and deserves the lead.
Both players made a very good show of safety shots, and 6 out of the 8 frames was totally dominated, as the loser didn't scored a single point.
Perry made three visits, with a top break of 42 to lead the opening frame (For the first time since 2012 quarter-final, Ronnie lost the opening frame at the Crucible), getting his chances after long pot mistakes form The Rocket. But then Ronnie put himself on the scoreboard with the help of a 58 break, before Perry catch up the next three frames in a roll with breaks of 57, 82 & 55 to build a 4-1 lead.
But the reigning World Champion wasn't died as he made breaks of 117 and 75 to put himself just one frame away from his opponent, who played his best to close the session 5(25)3 up with a first visit winner break of 99.
