Mark Selby comebacks to beat Ronnie O`Sullivan,

and is now the new Champion of The World

Good for the Game?

Right after beat Ronnie O`Sullivan 18-14 to be the new World Champion, Mark "The Jester From Leicester" Selby was attacked by fans of the game, described as a "slow player" and "bad for the game" because he don't give entertaining for snooker fans, most of it because of his scrappy way to play.

Selby can't play his A or even B-Game anymore, so he used his safety department, driving frames to a scrappy way cheating the World Title from Ronnie O`Sullivan - who would have played very better than he did, but wasn't able to maintain up after one day being "tortured" by Selby, and lost 11-4 if we consider the second day only.

I'm not a Selby fan, and Ronnie is very best than Selby, and really was over 16 days before lost his first match out of 15 at the Crucible in the 17th day.

But Selby deserved this title (maybe more in 2007 than now but...) and the World Trophy have the honor to be in Mark's hand.

I'm sorry to post it here so late, I'm devastated with this defeat, and I can't write many more than I wrote here.

Between the news after the Final, there's some bad words from Selby in interviews and a car accident with Ronnie O`Sullivan and 6 year-old Ronnie Jnr. They were in an Audi R8 and was travelling back home. The accident was 3 hours after the Final, and police said alcohol and speed wasn't the cause for that. No other vehicle was involved. Both Ronnie are absolutely fine, with no injuries.

The World Ranking changed now, it's based on the 2-year money list, as World Champion Mark Selby is back on the top, and Ronnie O`Sullivan is up to the 4th position.
