The most important European Tour was once again, a success, with a packed-out crowd in almost every session, and a big TV Audience, credits to Eurosport on another fantastic coverage.
Just showed again to me, why it's not just one of my prefer events on the tour, it's one of the favourites tournaments of many other fans and players.
The tournament had a very high level, with Aditya Mehta making his first maximum break being the first indian to enter for the 147 Club.

The Champion, Mark Allen, struggled a lot, but as himself said after the final: "I'm far from my best and I reached to the final in Riga and I'd win here, imagine when I get to my best form".

He'd beat Judd Trump - who won the Australian Open earlier this season - in a low level final, and was pleased as it went scrappy, "I'm glad the final was a bit scrappy - if it had been open then Judd would have scored heavily" he said.

But anyway, he is won the most important European Tour of the calendar, and his current form put him between the best players in the world, alongside with Selby, Neil and Judd.

The one who had a tournament to forget, is Ronnie O`Sullivan, who played marvelous snooker friday, winning 4-0 Noppon Saengkham and Robbie Williams, and making 280 unanswered points in his 4-1 victory over Barry Hawkins, making 3 centuries in that day. But in the last 16, The Rocket played poorly and wasn't able to beat Tian Pengfei. I just can't find a reason to explain why he played so bad, after play some excellent snooker in his previous matches, it's just sad that Ronnie lost one of my favourites tournaments. But anyway, he will be in action again for the Shanghai Masters next month, days 8-14.
We had another surprises there, Neil Robertson lost to Poomjaeng - also in the last 16, World Champion Selby lost to Walden in the Quarters, Lawler reached to the semis and Tian Pengfei reached to the quarter beating O`Sullivan.

The next tournament will be the 6 Reds World Championship in September, days 1-6.
I'm not sure if I will talk about it here in the blog, but be sure you can follow all news and results from the World of Snooker in our Facebook Page by Clicking Here
