Do Ronnie O`Sullivan needs a break?

We all know that when Ronnie O`Sullivan is on his prime form or at least near that, he can be considered unbeatable. And in the last few months, The Rocket won the Champion of Champions and the UK Championship in superb performances. He also got to the Semi-Final of The Masters, losing 6-1 to Neil Robertson.

His current form still can makes him win every event in the World but it's far away from his best really.
And following his lost against Mark Davis in the Championship League's Group 5 Final -he was 2-0 up and lost 2-3-, I decided to talk about his current weakness in the game: losing a lot of frames in a row.

The Championship League is just a little small tournament, but I've got another examples:
World Snooker Championship 2014 Final, where he lost to Mark Selby 14-18 after being 8-3 and 10-5 in front.
Champion of Champions 2014 Final, when Trump won 4 frames in a row when he was 3(19)8 behind, before Ronnie takes the match 10-7.
UK Championship 2014 Final, where Judd Trump won 5 frames in a row when 9-4 behind to force a decider - which Ronnie won for a 10-9. O`Sullivan describes this as the hardiest match of his 22-years career.
The Masters 2015 First Round, when Ronnie O`Sullivan was 5-1 up on Ricky Walden and then he lost 3 frames in a row before end up the match 6-4.
The Masters 2015 Semi-Final, where O`Sullivan lost 3 frames in a row in two occasions as he lost the match 6-1. But this one is not a good example because it was Neil really who deserved the credits.

The most of times that Ronnie O`Sullivan lost all these 3, 4, 5 frames in a row, he was over the line, and in my point of view (the point of view from someone who's not a personal friend with Ronnie) he's bored and tired from Snooker.
I play snooker and I know how hard is when you work the harder you can and can't get the results, or wen you've done too much and wants just to comeback home.
O`Sullivan played one of the most busy seasons of his career, and in the most part of it he got disappointing results, so it's very understandable why he relax when he's over the line, he just want to finish the work and go back home, and this is what the opponents get advantage from.

Over all his long career, O`Sullivan has shown examples of how good he comebacks after breaks, big examples are 1997, 2013 and his sublime run to win the 2014 Welsh Open after 1 month without even picking up a cue.

Well, if now he's unhappy with his form, and looks to be bored, why not another one of these breaks?
Maybe it's time to get a break and comeback fresh, recovering his prime form.

Thanks to read, and I want to say this is only my opinion, nobody knows what happen inside his head, but surely it's not something good right now.

After losing to Mark Davis, O`Sullivan decided to withdraw from the rest of the Championship League (good sign 😃), but the tournament is still on, and you can follow it and everything about Snooker via Ronnie O`Sullivan Brasil on Facebook.
