#NoPolish

Well, the Lisbon Open 2015 (European Tour 5) was used as a test to the polish of the balls with the intention to prevent kicks and improve the playing level, what I'm totally against and I'll show why:

Firstly, you can't use a professional tournament as a test, and if you do, at least you must ask the players if they accept; I don't think they did as some moaned on Twitter about it.
Another point, is that in my view, the polish of the balls don't just prevent kicks, it affects in the running of the balls, making those long reds with big screw back to baulk easier, for example.
For Neil Robertson and Judd Trump who both can make these big screws, this is a disadvantage.
So of course for players like Mark Williams, and Ronnie O`Sullivan, this is an advantage.
But I also don't think that the kick is an unpredictable reaction or an unlucky shot, you can prevent it cueing better. Do you wonder? So tell me the last time that John Higgins or Ronnie O`Sullivan made some kick? And Did they ever complained about?
So I think the polish turn the game easier and false. Yeah, false. Because I'm sure no one of us, amateurs, can play with these conditions in the practice table, so we could be watching on TV something impossible for us.

Well this is a short post, but I just wanted to be part of the campaign against kicks, who knows if someone from World Snooker read this, because we don't want our Big Events, including the Masters which starts on Sunday, affected by the polish.
