The Crucible Quiz: Favourite Player

3rd Place: Judd Trump

Well, just want to congratulate all the players who got into the top 3, as the number of votes were exactly the same! Yeah, the percentage was absolutely the same, so all the 3 players are champions, and the Snooker fans are very divided.
As a criteria to decide who's third, second and first, I decided to put in front the player with most titles at the Crucible (or matches if there's 2 who won the same number of title, or didn't even win), so again, congratulations to all the 3 who'll be commented about here, truly people's champion (haha:).
Check how it worked.

His season so far

Well, well, well. What a season Judd has been doing so far, there was only one who could stop this man in 2014 (have you a name in mind?), and I wonder if there will be anyone who will be able to do so in 2015.
Judd started losing to Stephen Maguire in the Wuxi Classic's last 16, but then went on to win the Australian Open, never being in trouble in any match, beating home favourite Neil Robertson in the Final, 9-5.
He then got to the semi-final of the first European Tour and reached to the final of the second, losing 4-2 to Mark Allen.
So Judd played a couple of tournaments away from his best, but cameback to form at right time, as he'd beat Stephen Maguire, Mark Selby and Neil Robertson on his sublime way to reach to the final of the Champion of Champions - which is for me, already Snooker's 4th largest event .
But the man who had the mission to stop him appeared, as Ronnie O`Sullivan did beat Judd Trump 10-7 in one of the highest quality match ever, the best level of the season, no doubt.
6 Centuries were made in a best of 19, 2 of them made by Judd Trump.
His fine form kept on him and he reached to the semi-final of the European Tour 4, and reached to the UK Championship Final, playing superb Snooker beating the likes of Stephen Maguire to set up another clash with Ronnie O`Sullivan.
And it was going to be another memorable match, as from 4-9 down, Judd Trump forced the decider, just to lose it and fail on a chance for his second UK Title. He did a back-to-back centuries in the way for the decider, which O`Sullivan sealed with a 51.

He's already out of the Championship League, and lost to Stephen Maguire in The Masters' first round, but those disappointing results in 2015 didn't look to affect the opinion of the fans, as he was the most voted player alongside two others

His chances at the Crucible

The thing that makes me love Judd Trump's game, is his way to play. If he is 17-0 up or 0-17 behind, his style doesn't seem to change, he's a great fighter and he thinks the best way to defend is attack, he never give up. His form has been amazing, and when he start to put in those unbelievable pots, all his opponents get fearful of him, and it can be an advantage. Judd also always seem to be playing good Snooker at the Crucible, if he gets a nice draw, I think 80% of his 2014 form should be enough for the title, no matter who his opponent is.
He's well prepared for long matches, and when he's playing the World Snooker Championship, he seems to be such an experienced player, for me if the Crucible action were today, it should be between Judd and Neil Robertson.

Next month I'll comeback with the Second Place for both 'Greatest Matches' and 'Favourite Players'.
