UNDISPUTED
After so many years, it's hard to write anything after a Ronnie win, we've run out of adjectives a long time ago. Yet, at 48 he's still doing things that he has never done before.
On Sunday, Ronnie O'Sullivan won the Masters for a record-extending 8th time. It's also a record-extending 23rd Triple Crown victory, and it's also a record for oldest player to win the event (which he's also the youngest ever winner of).
The dominant world number one has now won three titles this season, including the two Triple Crown ones, and will for the first time in his career arrive in Sheffield with a chance to complete the season Triple Crown. Can he do it? Well, it'll be hard to survive Sheffield playing the way he did in London, but wasn't it breathtaking?
Ronnie pushed the boat out all week, playing some kamikaze shots during his Masters campaign. Yet, when it got to crunch time he put on his game face and finished his matches with reasonable comfort.
Players have had their chances to finish him off, especially Hawkins in the quarters and Carter in the final, but they didn't and they got punished.
